Hello,

I'm not sure about this one. Someone reported a similar problem so I've contacted them to see if they found a solution.

In the meantime, check the name of your image only contains UTF8 characters.

Chris

I think, the problem with image extension. Thumbnails not created, but the pics inside the folder

Database inside the photogallery folder. I think, problem with thumbnails, they are not created. Instead of Wamp I used Denwer

OK, I found the problems. First I will describe how I tracked it down as it is important to know how to more easily trace AJAX errors.

  • I use Google Chrome, so open the developer window. Then try the photo upload and you get an error 500.
  • Go to the network tab in the developer window and you should see the url /album/upload/1 in red, indicating an error.
  • click on it and you get to see the headers. Here you can check to see what was POSTed but that doesn't interest us in this case.
  • Click on the PREVIEW tab and you will see what was output by the server. You will see here an error in the IMAGE extension at line 172.

This indicates that the size is blank.

My code gets the thumbnail size from the system parameters with the line:

$size=Yii::app()->params['thumbSize'] ;

That shows that we need to add a parameter in the config/main.php down at the bottom within the params array:

'params'=>array(
		// this is used in contact page
		'adminEmail'=>'webmaster@example.com',
                'uploads'=>'/uploads',
		'thumbSize'=>'200'
            	),

And now that should work!
